HeriQ interpretive guide courses now available from Interpret Europe
Following the outcomes of the HeriQ Project which were presented and discussed at Interpret Europe’s Annual Conference in Kraków in May 2015, an agreement to pass them over to Interpret Europe was prepared by the HeriQ Consortium and recently endorsed by Interpret Europe‘s Management and Supervisory Committee. Courses can now be booked through email@example.com.
Interpret Europe, the European Association for Heritage Interpretation, is the umbrella organisation for heritage interpretation in Europe with members in more than 30 countries. The HeriQ Project partners from Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece and Italy welcomed the positive response of Interpret Europe and ratified the agreement during their final meeting in Sofia on 29 September 2015.
Now, the HeriQ system for training interpretive guides and interpretive guide trainers will not only be sustained, but it will also become the first step to introduce a genuine European training programme on interpretive guiding for use by parks and monuments, museums, zoos and other institutions on natural or cultural heritage to supplement their own training programmes. The course can be bolted-on as an additional module to existing courses with no significant overlaps and run as a residential or non-residential course for one or more organisations. It can also be split in up to five parts according to the preferred training arrangements of the organisations involved.
